Charity ISP results
Waitrose.com, our Internet Service Provider, has raised a total of £110,000 for charity over the past 12 months.
The money will be split between four charities: Macmillan Cancer Support, which will receive the biggest share, British Red Cross, British Heart Foundation and The Prince's Trust. Customers who sign up to use our ISP are asked to vote for one of the four charities, and the money is allocated according to the number of votes each charity gets.
This year's donation equals that of last year, which was the highest ever raised by our ISP.
"The charities really appreciate the donation that our ISP customers make," said Lyndsay Edge, Waitrose Assistant Marketing Manager Internet & E-commerce. "They are grateful to receive funding that is not dedicated to any one particular strand of their work, because they can put it towards the area where they feel the need is greatest. This year's results also reflect the success we've had in the last three consecutive Which? Broadband surveys."
