    Asian-style salmon with salad onions

    Asian-style salmon with salad onions

    Serves: 2

    Ingredients

    • 2 Waitrose Select Farm Salmon Fillets (about 300g)
    • 1 tbsp soy sauce
    • 2cm piece fresh root ginger, peeled and grated
    • 1 tsp olive or rapeseed oil
    • 1 bunch essential Waitrose Salad Onions, trimmed

    Method

    1. Marinate the salmon in the soy, ginger and oil for 10 minutes.
    2. Heat a griddle pan until smoking then add the salmon, skin side down, and cook for 10–12 minutes, turning once, until cooked through. Keep warm.
    3. Add the salad onions to the pan and brush with any remaining marinade. Cook for 1 minute on each side. Arrange on serving plates and sit the salmon on top. Pour over any juices from the pan and serve with new potatoes.
