Stir-Fried Sprouts with Chestnuts

Christmas recipe
Preparation time : 10 minutes
Cooking time : 6 minutes to 8 minutes
Total time : 16 minutes to 18 minutes

Serves: 6

Ingredients

500g Brussels sprouts
2 tbsp sunflower oil
2 tbsp vegetable stock or water
200g pack Bridge House Vacuum-Packed Chestnuts, halved
Salt
Freshly ground black pepper

Method

  1. Trim the sprouts and cut in half. Heat the oil in a large wok or pan. Stir-fry the sprouts for 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add the stock and continue cooking for a further 2 minutes. Add the chestnuts and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until the sprouts are just tender but still bright green and crunchy. Season well to taste.

This is excellent, another recipe I forgot about that makes sprouts more exciting, well worth a go for Christmas joy!
