Microwave ovens vary. Refer to handbook. Place 50g of oats per person in a large microwaveable bowl and stir in 350ml of cold milk or water. For best results use the hob method. For 2 servings 650W 4 min (Full Power) Stir 3 min 750W 3 1/2 min (Full Power) Stir 3 min 850W 3 1/2 min (Full Power) Stir 2 1/2 min Allow to stand for 1 minute. Add sugar or salt to taste (650W: 3 minutes, stir then 3 minutes more. Allow to stand for 1 minute. Add sugar or salt to taste., 750W: 3 minutes, stir then 2 1/2 minutes more. Allow to stand for 1 minute. Add sugar or salt to taste., 850W: 3 minutes, stir then 2 minutes more. Allow to stand for 1 minute. Add sugar or salt to taste.)
Allow approximately 50g oats per person. Place the oats in a small saucepan and add 350ml of cold milk (water can be used for a less creamy porridge). Bring to the boil and simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring continuously. Add sugar and salt to taste.
