A top AA graded coffee grown in the north and northwest of Narobi on high plateaus surrounding Mount Kenya and to the west along the Rift valley, at an altitude of between 1500 ./ 2100 metres. This climate produces 2 harvests per year in March and then October. Fermentation time ranges from 24 to 48 hours and graded by the Kenyan coffee board and then sold at fornightly auctions.
Preparation & Storage
- Preparation Instructions (Back of pack) Grind coffee beans to suit equipment being used. Medium ground - cafetieres, percolators conas and jugs. Fine ground - filter machine, filter cones. Very fine ground - espresso machine, stove top espresso pot.
The wonderful flavour and aroma of coffee is affected by contact with air. This pack is fitted with a special one way valve to allow the coffee to be packed directly after roasting to protect the coffee and maintain its freshness. Once opened reseal using recloseable tab on the pack. To prolong its freshness store in a cool place, refrigerator or deep freeze and use within two weeks. Packaged in a protective atmosphere.
