Produced at the Fromagerie Pont-Scorff close to the coast of southern Brittany, this traditional French Camembert bakes to a silky, buttery, molten texture. An indulgent delight, this dish makes a comforting treat for a cosy night in, or a wonderfully simple-to-prepare dinner party starter accompanied by crusty bread and fresh crudités.

Preheat oven. Remove from wrapper and place in the ceramic dish. Using a sharp knife score a 2 inch cross in the top of the Camembert. Place on a baking tray in the centre of oven for 15 minutes. Carefully remove from the oven, peel back the rind and return to the oven for a further 15 - 20 minutes. Carefully remove from the oven and stir thoroughly before serving. Adjust cooking times accordingly to your oven. All appliances vary, these are guidelines only. (Time 30 - 35 minutes Oven: 190°C, Fan: 170°C, Gas: Gas Mark gas 5)
