Waitrose St Hallett Reserve, Shiraz, Australian, Red Wine
Waitrose Barossa Shiraz is made in Partnership with St Hallett in the Barossa, Australia. The emu, Australia's national bird, standing majestically at up to two meters in height is a fitting representation of the Barossa region within Australian Wine production, which continues to stand head and shoulders above many other alternatives. We have chosen to work with St Hallett because of their reputation for creating the finest quality Barossa Shiraz and their winemakers' enthusiastic and open-minded approach. This wine has been made by blending selected parcels of fruit from across the Barossa. Lovely bright raspberry and plum aromas are complimented by restrained layers of pepper and spice. The palate is filled with fresh berries, hints of white pepper spice with velvety rolling tannins that add textural interest to finish off the wine nicely.
