Cooks' Ingredients Greek basil
A highly decorative bush - type basil with small, strongly aromatic leaves and a spicy clove flavour. Use in a similar manner to standard basil; pinch off small sprigs and add to salads, tomato dishes, sauces and vegetables.
A common sight in Mediterranean tavernas, Greek basil growing in terracotta pots is placed on tables as a sign of welcome and to add a warming, spicy fragrance.
