Oven Cook

From Chilled/Ambient
Preheat oven. Remove sleeve and film. Foil pad does not need to be removed as it is oven safe. Transfer crackling straws on a baking tray and keep aside for later. Place foil tray directly on oven shelf. After 25 minutes, place the baking tray with crackling straws in the oven. Cook for further 15 minutes. Cook thoroughly until the juices run clear. The cooked meat will remain pink due to contact with bacon. Transfer joint on a chopping board, cover with foil and rest for 5-10 minutes. In the meantime crush the apples with a fork. Carve joint with a sharp knife, serve with crushed apple and crackling straws. ** Please, highlight in bold the statement: 'The cooked meat will remain pink due to contact with bacon.' ** (Time 40-45 mins Oven: 200�C, Fan: 180�C, Gas: Gas Mark gas 6)
