Fresh and fruit driven, with delicate herbaceous and floral hints, this wine is perfect served chilled as an aperitif with marinated olives, or try with grilled fish, or Spanish Tortilla. Diego de Almagro is a range of fine Spanish wines from the vineyards of Valdepeñas. Produced by family-owned winery Pagos del Rey, the wine takes its name from the most famous son of the small historic town of Almagro. Setting out for Panama in 1514, Diego was one of the many adventurers seeking their fortunes in the New World. A determined and courageous soldier, Diego rose from humble beginnings to become one of the most famous conquistadors, particularly renowned for his pioneering expeditions in Chile and Peru.
