Barranco del Vero Cabernet Sauvignon Tempranillo & Merlot
Wine of Somontano, Spain. Cabernet Sauvignon - Tempranillo - Merlot - Red Spanish Wine. The word Barranco means""ravine""in Spanish, and is the name we have given to this cool climate Spanish red which comes from the mountainous area in the foothills of the Pyrenees. Nestling among the foothills of the Pyrenees, Somontano is Spain's hidden gem. Steeped in history, it is a land of stunning natural beauty, with a rich diversity of climate and soils; the ideal backdrop for making wines of great character and distinction. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Merlot has an intense cherry colour with violet hues. The nose is a heady mix of blackberries, violets and eucalyptus aromas, complemented by toasted vanilla notes from four months ageing in oak barrels. The palate is soft yet powerful, with attractive rich berry flavours and fine tannins. Delicious with tapas, roasted red meats and game.
