- Bob Martin Clear Spot On for Cats is applied to the back of the neck, killing fleas for up to 5 weeks and ticks within a week of application. How to use... Remove one pipette from the packaging and whilst holding it in an upright position, carefully snap-off the top section thereby opening the tube. The solution needs to be applied in 2 points, the first 1/2 of the solution should be applied at the base of the back of the head. The second 1/2 of the solution, between the shoulder blades. Part the pets coat to expose the skin. Place the tip of the pipette on the exposed skin and squeeze approximately half of the tube gently onto the first application site, then repeat at the second site with the remainder of the liquid. Avoid rubbing the solution into the fur and do not rub into the skin. Correct application of the solution minimises the possibility of the animal licking the solution. Keep recently treated pets apart until application area is dry. Treated animals should not be handled or played with until the application site has dried. Therefore, evening application is recommended. Recently treated pets should not be allowed to sleep with owners, especially children. Prior to application, ensure you have removed any collars. Avoid frequent swimming or shampooing the animal because the maintenance of effectiveness of the product in these cases has not been tested. Do not use on kittens less than 2 months old and/or weighing less than 1 kg. Do not use on sick (systemic disease, fever...) or convalescent animals. Do not use in rabbits, as adverse drug reactions and even death could occur. Do not use on animals with known hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of excipients. Special precautions for use in animals. Avoid contact with the animal's eyes. In the case of accidental eye contact, immediately and thoroughly flush the eyes with water. Do not apply the product on wounds or damaged skin. It is important to make sure that the product applied to an area where the animal can not lick it off, and to make sure that animals do not lick each other following treatment. Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the veterinary medicinal product to animals. This product can cause mucous membrane and eye irritation. Therefore, contact between the product and the mouth or eyes should be avoided. In the case of accidental eye contact, immediately and thoroughly flush the eyes with water. If eye irritation persists seek medical advice and show the package leaflet or the label to the physician. Do not smoke, drink or eat during application. Avoid contents coming into contact with the fingers. If this occurs, wash hands with soap and water. Wash hands after use. Animals or people with a known hypersensitivity to fipronil or any of the other ingredients should avoid contact with the product.
