Preparation & Storage

Once weaning is established your baby will need about 1 pint (500-600ml) per day from 6-12 months of age. This information is given as a guide only as every baby is an individual.Preparing the feedPlease follow these instructions carefully. Failure to follow instructions may make your baby ill.1 Wash hands and sterilise all utensils according to manufacturers' instructions.2 Shake the bottle of Cow&Gate follow-on milk before opening. Using the feeding guide, pour the required amount of infant milk into a sterilised beaker.3 Cow&Gate follow-on milk can be given at room temperature, or warmed if desired. If warmed, check temperature of feed.4 For hygiene reasons, discard unfinished milk in the feeding bottle as soon as possible, and always within 2 hours.Ready to feed whenever your baby isNow that you're out and about more with your baby, Cow&Gate ready-made follow-on milk makes feeding easier - simply pour straight into your baby's beaker.Comes in really handy 200ml size too.Feeding instructionsInfants should be supervised at all times when feeding.Important noticeCow&Gate follow-on milk is only for babies over 6 months, as part of a mixed diet. It should not be used as a breastmilk substitute before 6 months, so if you wish to use this product before 6 months we advise that you consult your healthcare professional. It is recommended that Cow&Gate follow-on milk should only be used on the advice of a doctor, midwife, health visitor, public health nurse, dietitian, pharmacist, or other professional responsible for maternal and child care, based on a baby's individual needs.When bottle feeding do not allow prolonged or frequent contact of milk feeds with your baby's teeth as this increases the risk of tooth decay. Ask your health professional or dentist for advice. Make sure your baby's teeth are cleaned after the last feed at night.Never leave your baby alone during feeding.Do not heat feeds in a microwave. Hot spots may occur and cause scalding.
Once opened, unused infant milk in this 1 litre bottle must be refrigerated immediately and used within 48 hours.
