- Here's how to use 1001 Carpet & Upholstery Wipes: 1 Remove excess soiling or liquid by blotting the spot or spill with a dry cloth or kitchen towel 2 For best results vacuum dry dirt before using wipes 3 Peel back re-sealable label and remove wipes as required 4 Apply the wipe to the stained area working from the outside towards the centre 5 Vacuum the treated area when dry 6 Repeat procedure if required Liquid spills: Blot stain with kitchen towel or dry cloth to soak up excess. Solid residues: Scrape up excess with a blunt knife. Dry stains: Vacuum the affected area. Pet stains: In the interest of hygiene it is recommended to wear gloves. Important Information: Always test a hidden area for colour fastness before use. If carpet colour is affected please don't use this product. Do not use on 'velvet' type materials, brocade, rayon or those unsuitable for wet cleaning.
