- Preparation 10 mins Baking time 34-40 mins All you need is: 45ml vegetable oil (3 tbsp) 145ml water 3 medium free range eggs A greased 9"(23cm) round cake tin Only 3 steps to cake heaven... 1 Mix the eggs, oil, water and cake mix gently together in a large bowl and whisk (by hand or electric mixer) for 2-3 minutes until smooth and creamy. Remove 8 tablespoons of the mix and place in a smaller bowl, add the chocolate sachet and beat until well blended and set aside. 2 Pour the cake mixture (from your large bowl) evenly into your greased tin. Then evenly drop the chocolate mixture (1 teaspoon at a time) on top of the batter and using a rounded knife, gently swirl it through. 3 Bake in the centre of the oven for 34-40 minutes or until a rounded knife inserted into the deepest part of the cake comes out clean, then cool on a wire rack before enjoying a delicious slice of your very own Chocolate and Orange Swirl Cake...fabulous!
