  • Easy Bacon, Tomato&Cheese Tart. All you need... 500g Jus-Rol shortcrust pastry. 5-6 spring onions - trimmed and chopped. 4-5 rashers bacon - rind removed and chopped. 3 eggs. 250ml milk. seasoning. 2 tomatoes - sliced. 3 heaped tbsp Cheddar cheese - grated a few basil leaves (optional). It's so easy... Follow pastry preparation instructions. Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C for fan assisted ovens)/Gas Mark 6. 1. Roll out pastry and line a 20cm flan tin. 2. Gently fry the bacon until just cooked, allow to cool. Meanwhile beat together the eggs and milk and add seasoning. 3. Scatter the bacon in the base of the pastry case with spring onions and cheese. Add tomato slices on top then pour in the egg mixture. 4. Bake for approx. 20 minutes until filling is set and pastry is golden. If desired scatter with basil leaves. Enjoy! Janet's Tip. "Roll out pastry on a clean surface lightly dusted with flour. Roll away from you, giving a quarter turn every 3-4 strokes."

Storage

Keep refrigerated below 5°C. Home Freezing: Freeze on day of purchase. Consume within 1 month. To defrost thaw overnight in your fridge or alternatively for 2 hours at room temperature. Once thawed do not refreeze.
