Wine of Australia. Sauvignon Blanc - Red Australian Wine. This wine comes from Vasse Felix's best vineyards in the northern part of Margaret River, with a focus on the Wilyabrup sub-region. It was the first red wine produced in Margaret River and has been made every year since 1972. It was fermented in small batches and matured in French oak barriques for 18 months. Planted in 1967, Vasse Felix was the first vineyard and winery established in Margaret River. It remains family owned, with the simple aim of producing 'the best possible wine'.
