- Preparation guidelines. Keep the leaves on, place directly on the BBQ grill and don't lose your nerve! The leaves will blacken and char, so keep turning them for 15-20 minutes. When ready the tender kernels within will be steamed to perfection with a deep golden colour. Remove the blackened leaves before serving and season as required. For a zingy flavour twist: Smother with butter, chopped chillies and a squeeze of fresh lime. Enjoy! Wash before use.
