We add malted rice syrup to create delicious organic crunchy corn flakes, a low-fat, organic choice for breakfast or any other time of the day. At Doves Farm we make biscuits, cookies, cereal bars and a large range of bread, cake and speciality flours. 'I'm an organic farmer and, like colleagues in other countries, follow international organic rules. We rotate crops, grassland and livestock to develop natural soil fertility&create habitats for wildlife conservation. Globally we produce 600 million tonnes of maize each year, outstripping world production of wheat or rice. Maize, also known as corn, can be canned, popped, ground and flaked. Modern agricultural practices have controversially developed genetically modified strains and dramatically reduced the number of varieties. Organic standards do not permit genetic engineering. Thanks to the international Slow Food movement, Central American communities are being encouraged to grow and protect their ancient maize varieties. - Eating Corn FlakesBest served in a bowl with chilled milk and a scattering of fresh blueberries. Crushed-up corn flakes make great breadcrumbs, or try using as a topping on macaroni cheese. Stir them into rich, melted chocolate to make corn flake crunch cakes.
