Cooking porridge is a very personal thing. After all, it's an art not a science. Here's how we do it:Remember: cooked porridge is hot.
Pour a sachet of porridge and 150ml of milk (according to taste) into a deep microwaveable bowl. Stir well and cook on high for about 2 minutes. Stir briskly, return to microwave and cook on high for two 30 second bursts, stirring in between (times vary by microwave type). Stir again and leave to stand for 1 minute.
Put 150ml of milk (according to taste) into a saucepan and bring to the boil. Add a sachet of porridge and simmer for 3 minutes (or until the milk is absorbed) stirring occasionally.
