- For our recipe you will need ...1 sachet Schwartz Shepherd's Pie Recipe Mix450g (1lb) lean lamb mince1 onion, diced2 carrots, peeled and diced200ml (7fl oz) water100g (4oz) peas675g (1 1/2lb) mashed potatoDirections ...1. Pre-heat oven 200°c, 400°F, Gas Mark6.2. Brown mince, onions and carrots for 4-5 minutes. Drain excess liquid. Mix sachet contents with water and add to pan with peas. Bring to the boil, stirring and simmer uncovered for 5 minutes.3. Transfer to an ovenproof dish and cover with potato. Cook for 20-25 minutes.4. Serve with steamed green vegetables.Hints&Tips ...Also great with lean beef mince. Why not try adding chopped spring onion and grated cheese to the mashed potato before topping the mince mixture and cooking.
