Made with fresh&all natural ingredients. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Gluten free. Thai sticky rice. Originating from Northern Thailand, Sticky Rice (or glutinous rice) is whiter and shorter than other rice. This opaque grain becomes translucent when cooked and is best prepared by soaking prior to cooking. Traditionally sticky rice is served in individual lidded baskets made from either reed or bamboo (kra-tip khao). Forget table manners, sticky rice is best moulded and eaten with fingers! Sticky Rice is served as an accompaniment to savoury dishes; it is also very often cooked with coconut milk and a wide variety of fruits, to create sweet snacks or delicious desserts.

Preparation

  • Serve hot or cold.
  • Hob From Ambient: Put 200g of Thai Taste Sticky Rice and 350ml of water into a saucepan, bring to a boil. Cover and simmer gently for about 15 minutes or until all water is absorbed.

Storage

Store in cool dry place. Once opened, use within 6 months.
