Robert Lacey
Robert Lacey has been growing lilies in Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire for over 20 years, the last 12 years for Waitrose. Robert grows a selection of different lily types to cater for all tastes. The highly scented Oriental types are Rob’s speciality, he grows these under glass and tunnels at Winchester Growers principle growing nursery in Pinchbeck. Rob also grows the more traditional longiflorum lily and the LA lily, which is a hybrid of longiflorum and Asiatic lily. The nursery now holds LEAF marque accreditation for it's environmentaly beneficial growing proceduers. He begins lily planting in April in preparation for cropping early May. Aside from Lilies Rob also grows tulips during the winter months. In his spare time Robert enjoys golf and football.
Robert Warder
Robert Warder grows a selection of summer flowers for Winchester Growers on and around their site in Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire. Rob is in charge of growing Sunflowers, Peony’s, gladioli and scented stock’s. Rob has been with Winchester Growers for 2 years now and say’s that managing these outdoor crops through our changeable English Summers to get the best possible quality is the most challenging part of the job. When Rob is not working he enjoys DIY and spending time with his family.
