- How to make an authentic Saag Aloo.ALL YOU NEED IS POTATO, SPINACH, ONION AND CANNED TOMATOES.First slice and fry an onion in a little oil until soft. Stir in the Saag Aloo paste and cook for 3 minutes. Add 300g of diced potatoes and 200ml of water, cover and cook for 10 minutes.
