Twinings darjeeling 50 tea bags
Delicate&intriguing. Darjeeling tea bags. As the Darjeeling winter bids farewell and the last of the snow disappears from the peaks, this Golden Valleys' tea bushes burst into life. We choose first and second flush teas as they are the best of the season and give a unique, flowery Darjeeling character. Our master blenders pick and blend from only the best, small scale tea gardens, which guarantee excellent hand picking of just the bud and top leaf from bushes which are often over 100 years old. The journey from the tea garden to your cup... When it comes to tea we're a little different from everybody else. The way we buy and blend is unique; we choose from more origins than anyone else and have a master blender dedicated to each of these locations. What they don't know about their tea gardens and where to find the best quality, isn't worth knowing. It is said that 7 is a lucky number, for us it's the number of times the master blenders taste each batch to make sure that the quality from its exotic origin reaches your cup. If you like your tea subtle and light, we think you'll also like Twinings Ceylon and Twinings Camomile. Discover something new with Twinings. Ethical Tea Partnership. We care about the communities where our tea is grown and picked and this is why we are a founder member of the Ethical Tea Partnership, which works to improve tea workers' welfare and the environment in which they live. Twinings have also supported a range of projects since 2004, including improving health services and nutrition, providing access to clean water, better education and assisting children with disabilities. Together with our partners we have helped over half a million children in China and India. To find out more about our projects visit www.twinings.co.uk. It's an amazing journey... Down through the Himalayas from Darjeeling on what looks like an antique toy train. Carrying its special cargo of tea, the tiny steam train winds its way around hills, through valleys. The tea is special because the growing conditions at high altitude give it a delicate and fresh taste and a shimmering gold colour. We love to drink it when there's an occasion - but we think tea drinking's an occasion anyway.
Preparation & Storage
- We suggest...Use one teabag per person and pour on boiling water. Leave the tea to brew for three to five minutes, or until you think it's ready. Then drink it black, or with a drop of milk.
