Twinings Assam 50 tea bags
£3.29 (£2.64 per 100g)
Strong&mighty. Assam tea bags. Assam is a strong tea grown from our strong relationship with the North Eastern state of Assam, which dates back to when tea was first planted out by the Victorian pioneers. We still buy from the same high quality gardens, on the flood plains of the Great Brahmaputra. Only peak season teas are chosen to give the highest quality Assam tea. The journey from the tea garden to your cup... When it comes to tea we're a little different from everybody else. The way we buy and blend is unique; we choose from more origins than anyone else and have a master blender dedicated to each of these locations. What they don't know about their tea gardens and where to find the best quality, isn't worth knowing. It is said that 7 is a lucky number, for us it's the number of times the master blenders taste each batch to make sure that the quality from its exotic origin reaches your cup. If you like your tea to pack a strong punch, we think you'll also like Twinings Lapsang Souchong and Twinings 1706 Strong Breakfast. Discover something new with Twinings. Ethical Tea Partnership. We care about the communities where our tea is grown and picked and this is why we are a founder member of theEthical Tea Partnership, which works to improve tea workers' welfare and the environment in which they live. Twinings have also supported a range of projects since 2004, including improving health services and nutrition, providing access to clean water, better education and assisting children with disabilities. Together with our partners we have helped over half a million children in China and India. To find out more about projects visit www.twinings.co.uk. Elephants are a big part of everyday life in India... Just like tea. And although elephants aren't known for their tea drinking, in the tea-growing region of Assam they help out by doing a lot of the heavy lifting and carrying. We always think hard work deserves a cup of Assam. So sit back and think of elephants while enjoying this deep amber tea. It goes perfectly with brunch, or as an after-dinner alternative to coffee.
Preparation & Storage
- We suggest...Use one teabag per person and pour on boiling water. Leave the tea to brew for three to five minutes, or until you think it's ready. Then add a splash of milk.
