- Recipe SuggestionPakoras (Bhajees)Ingredients500g East End Gram flour1 tbsp Garam masala1 tsp of fresh crushed ginger or puree1 tsp chilli powder2 sliced onions, 1 diced potatoChopped coriander leavesSalt to taste1/4 pint of warm waterDirectionsMix all the dry ingredients together and slowly add the water to blend into a thick batter. Add the onions, potato and coriander and mix together and leave mixture for about 10 minutes. Take a heaped spoon of the mix and carefully drop in hot oil in a deep fryer. Fry for about 3 minutes or until golden brown or cooked.
Do not allow flour to become damp.Store in a cool dry place and never mix old and new flour.
