Quick Check is our scan as you shop service. Using a handheld scanner, you scan each item as you take it from the shelves and pack as you go. When you have finished shopping, all that is left to do is pay at the Quick Check till, without having to unpack and re-pack your shopping. If paying using a debit, credit or account card you can save even more time by using Quick Pay. Quick Check is available in a number of branches. We will also supply special reusable bags to our partnership cardholders and Waitrose and John Lewis account card cardholders.
Our team of Masters of Wine have travelled the globe in search of the very best wines for you to enjoy. We have called this collection of fine wines our Inner Cellar. The classic areas of Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne are well represented, but we have not forgotten the modern classics, nor the more unusual wines and spirits. 'Inner Cellar' does not have to mean expensive - there are some great discoveries to be made at around £25-30. Our cheese counter is packed witha variety of European and British cheeses, including rarer British varieties.
Waitrose is committed to providing an outstanding assortment of cheese and exceptional service. Nearly every branch has a cheese specialist, selected for his or her passion and enthusiasm for cheese. They receive training from cheese experts and gain a British Cheese Guild Qualification. Waitrose is currently training about 50 cheese specialists a year.

On the meat counter, there are prime cuts of free range pork, Aberdeen Angus beef and Farmhouse lamb, as well as specialities such as rack of lamb.
Aberdeen Angus beef has been available from the Waitrose meat counter for more than 10 years and was chosen because it is a breed that is native to the UK. It is known for the marbling that appears in the meat. This marbling enables the meat to retain a higher level of succulent flavour and tenderness.
