Eve's pudding

400g Waitrose Braeburn Apples, cored and diced
100g butter, softened
100g caster sugar
2 essential Waitrose Free Range Eggs
100g essential Waitrose Self Raising White Flour


1. Preheat the oven to 180˚C, gas mark 4. Place the apple pieces in a saucepan with 50ml water and cook covered for 3–4 minutes. Transfer to a shallow ovenproof dish.

2. Meanwhile, beat the butter and sugar together until pale and fluffy. Whisk in the eggs one at a time then gradually fold in the flour. Spoon the mixture over the apples and bake for 30–35 minutes until golden and cooked throughout. Serve with custard.
