Martha's maple sprout skewers

Makes: 30 skewers
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp olive oil
15 Brussels sprouts (or 30 small ones)
½ x 240g ring chorizo
15 Merchant Gourmet Whole Chestnuts Simply Roasted
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C, gas mark 6 and line a baking tray with baking parchment.
2. Combine the maple syrup and olive oil in a small bowl. Peel off the outer layer from the sprouts and slice in half, or keep whole depending on size.
3. Arrange the sprouts on the tray and drizzle with the oil mixture. Slice the chorizo into 30 x 0.5cm slices and halve the chestnuts. Add to the tray and bake for 15 minutes. The sprouts should be lightly charred and the chorizo crispy.
4. Stack each element alternately onto a cocktail stick or small wooden skewer and serve warm.
