Tuna & Pasta Surprise

Quick Supper dish that never fails to please. Healthy and easy to make

  • Total time: 15- 17 mins

Serves: 2


  • 100g/4oz pasta shapes- large shells are good
    25g /1oz butter (I use a bit less)
    75g chestnut mushrooms sliced
    184g/6 1/2oz tin tuna fish drained & flaked
    1 clove crushed garlic
    1 tablespoon fresh or freeze dried parsley
    1/2 red pepper diced
    1 red onion finely chopped
    1 tablespoon single cream or creme fraiche (can be 1/2 fat)
    salt and pepper


  1. 1.Cook the pasta in a pan of boiling salted water and a dash of olive oil (approx 10- 15 mins)
  2. 2. Whilst this is cooking place the butter onion and garlic in another medium saucepan and cook for 4 minutes over a medium heat
  3. 3. Add the mushrooms, flaked tuna , red pepper, 1/2 tablespoon of parsley and salt & pepper and continue to cook for 5 mins then stir in the cream and cook for a further minute
  4. 4. Drain the pasta and toss with the Tuna mix . Sprinkle with the remaining Parsley and serve. Delicious!!!
