The interaction between these lead characters is the focus of the advert, but in real life, young actor Ruby (Ava) practised her reactions to Edgar’s mishaps with another actor in his place. The lovable dragon was computer-generated and added in later
Who sings the song for the John Lewis & Partners Christmas advert is anticipated as much as the storyline is. This year’s song is Can’t Fight This Feeling, sung by Bastille frontman Dan Smith and is a cover of the 1984 original by REO Speedwagon
