Preparation and Usage
Servings: 4 Preparation: 1. Preheat the oven to 170°C, 150°C fan, Gas mark 3. 2. Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan and fry the beef and onion until browned. Place in an ovenproof dish and add the mushrooms. 3. Blend the contents of the sachet with the water and add to the dish. Cover and cook for 1½ hours or until beef is tender. Place in a pie dish and leave to cool. 4. Egg wash the rim of the pie dish. Roll out the pastry to cover and crimp the edge to seal. Brush the top of the pastry with egg and cut a small vent in the top. Bake in a preheated oven 190°C, 180°C fan, Gas mark 5 for 30-35 mins or until pastry is golden brown.
