A uniquely rich, aromatic flavour of exceptional quality. Salmon from the clear waters of the Outer Hebrides, prepared by hand and smoked over island peat. Hebridean Peat Smoked Salmon has been smoked in our smokehouse on North Uist for over 30 years using the abundant local moorland peat. These thick deposits of peat have formed over thousands of years from the compressed mosses, grasses and heather that cover much of the island and which continue to form to this day. When burnt, the smoke imparts a rich aromatic flavour to the salmon that is evocative and unforgettable. Our Peat Smoked Salmon is ready to serve in the traditional way with a little lemon and black pepper or with a creamy horseradish dressing.
