Whisky Barrel Oak Smoked Salmon
Finest quality Scottish salmon from the Outer Herbrides smoked with a subtle mix of new and old whisky barrel oak sourced from the heart of Speyside. This special Whisky Barrel Oak Smoked Salmon uses only four ingredients: salmon from the Outer Hebrides, pure sea salt, smoke from the burning of whisky barrel oak and finally a misting of Scotch whisky on the salmon fillets before smoking in the kiln. Our barrel oak is sourced from the largest specialist cooperage in Speyside - the heart of the Scotch malt whisky industry. Using a combination of new oak and wood that has held whisky, we gently smoke the salmon before slicing and hand-finishing every pack. Only by paying meticulous attention to detail and following traditional methods can we be sure of producing a smoked salmon with a rich, full flavour that will compliment fine malt whisky and share the subtle notes and flavours found in Scotland's most famous export.
