Beer
Bottled conditioned IPA.No.1 Horninglow Street pays homage to the beer style developed in Burton and exported to the rest of the World - a traditional British IPA. Pale amber in colour and 7.4% ABV, No.1 is brewed with low coloured pale ale malt, late and dry hopped with a combination of four hop varieties. Fermentation takes place in one of the Burton Union Sets of 24 oak barrels. Cold conditioning for 3 days locks the hop flavours and subtle aromas into the beer. This beer delivers a sweet honey aroma with hints of apricot and crisp citrus notes on the palate. A masterful mix of ingredients Only the very best ingredients for No.1 Horninglow Street. To celebrate days gone by, we have sourced original and resurrected old ingredients. Ernest hops being one such ingredients, that was once less preferred by drinkers but is now growing in popularity duet to its fruitier American inspired aromas. Low coloured pale are malt from Holkman in Norfolk, the home of British agriculture. World renowned Burton spring water, percolated through the gypsum beds of the Trent valley. The perfect brew liquor. For distinct hop varieties, used late and dry: Sovereign from the Marston's hop garden in Kent Ernest grown in the UK Goldings also grown in the UK Cascade grown in the US Finally, Burton Union Yeast, a robust yeast that delivers a unique dry, fruity flavour and perfectly suited to the Burton Union brewing method. Our brewing process is a labour of love What makes this beer so special? From trial brewing in our DE14 nano kit, to leaving the perfect amount of yeast in each bottle, allowing it to mature and improve; everything we do makes this beer special. The most interesting part of our 15 day brew method is our one-of-a-kind fermentation in our world famous Burton Union system. No. 1 Horninglow Street spends 3 days in a network of 24 oak barrels, each filled to 3/4 full to leave enough space for the fermentation and oak infusion process to unfold resulting in a unique dry fruity flavour. Brewers' heaven. Day. 01 Burton water bathed work Day. 03 Oak barrel infused fermentation Day. 08 Dry hopped and flavour locked Day. 15 Bottled-conditioned perfection

    Preparation and Usage

The Perfect Sore & Pour The Horninglow Street series is all bottle-conditioned, meaning the beer still carries a small amount of yeast and is therefore still fermenting and getting better with age. To make this the best possible beer if can be, please follow this guide to storing and pouring. Always store cap up, never on its side so that the sediment can settle Avoid jostling or shaking Pour slowly and smoothly Leave the last bit of beer in the bottle where the yeast has settled Sit back and enjoy perfection
