A moist, slightly crumbly English cheese with creamy, lemony notes and a mushroom flavour under the rind. Beautifully wrapped in edible nettles, hand-picked in nearby woodland and frozen to remove the sting.
Cornish Yarg is made by hand at Lynher Dairies in Cornwall, by Catherine Mead. It takes its name from Alan and Jenny Gray who discovered the old recipe for nettle-wrapped cheese - Yarg is Gray spelt backwards.
Pairs well with dry cider or sparkling wine.
