The experts at Purina share tips for spotting the signs. Gently run your hands along your cat’s rib cage – if you have to press to feel the bones, they might be overweight. Also, look at your cat from above – her body should become more slender from the belly to hind legs. As for the tummy – if it swings between their hind legs as they walk, they are probably overweight.
