Junior chefs can get hands-on from decorating biscuits and making smoothies at the children’s Waitrose Cookery School to drawing book characters. There’ll also be performances from Cook and Line and
the Gruffalo.
The Gruffalo costume character, based on the bestselling children's book from Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, will be making various appearances throughout the festival at meet and greets with children.

As an author and illustrator Zehra writes and illustrates them. She will be running drawing workshops and readings for children at the festival.
Illustrator Claire Powell will be in the children's zone guiding budding artists to draw giraffes and other animals.
Cook and Line are the infamous pirate comedy double-act from smash-hit CBeebies' show, Swashbuckle, played by Richard David-Caine and Joseph Elliott.

of one of his books in the
reading corner.
