    Chocolate fudge fondue

    Ready in 30 minutes or less

    • 600ml tub essential Waitrose Double Cream
    • 400g Waitrose Belgian Plain Chocolate
    • 3 tbsp Golden syrup
    • 50g Butter, diced
    • Selection of dippers to serve: Marshmallows, mini meringue shells, sponge fingers, shortbread and fruit slices, such as banana, mango and pear


    1. Pour the cream into a pan and gently bring to a simmer. Remove from the heat and add the chocolate, syrup and butter. Stir until melted and fudgy.
    2. Serve your selection of dippers with short bamboo skewers.

    Cook's tips

    Don’t choose a chocolate with over 60% cocoa solids or the sauce may have a slight bitterness. This sauce only takes a few minutes to make. However, it can be made in advance and will firm up nicely on cooling, making it good for transporting. Reheat gently to serve.
