    Flaming Calvados Apples

    Serves: 4


    • 4 tbsp Waitrose Calvados or brandy
    • 50g Waitrose Muscovado Sugar
    • 50g butter
    • 4-6 Cox apples


    1. Peel, core and thickly slice 4-6 Cox apples. Melt 50g butter in a pan, add the apples and fry until tinged with brown. Sprinkle with 50g Waitrose Muscovado Sugar and stir well.
    2. Stir in 4 tbsp Waitrose Calvados or brandy. Ignite carefully, then when flames have died down, serve over ice cream.
