    Honey-glazed chicken skewers with festive salsa

    Perfect bite sized canapés for parties.

    • Preparation time: 10 minutes including salsa, plus 4 hours marinating
    • Cooking time: 15 minutes
    • Total time: 25 minutes, plus 4 hours marinating 25 minutes


    • juice of half a lemon
    • 2 tbsp chopped mint
    • 1 finely sliced salad onion
    • 60g pomegranate seeds
    • peel and cube the flesh of 1 orange
    • Grated zest of 1 lemon
    • 1 crushed garlic clove
    • ½ crushed chillies
    • runny honey
    • 800g cubed chicken breast


    1. Put 800g cubed chicken breast in a bowl with 3 tbsp runny honey, ½ tsp crushed chillies, 1 crushed garlic clove and the grated zest of 1 lemon. Marinate for 4 hours.
    2. Season, thread onto soaked skewers and grill for 12–15 minutes, turning regularly. To make the salsa, mix the cubed flesh of 1 peeled orange, 60g pomegranate seeds, 1 finely sliced salad onion, 2 tbsp chopped mint and the juice of ½ lemon.
