    Hot cross bun French toast

    Serves: 4


    4 medium eggs
    Splash milk
    1 pack Waitrose Richly Fruited Hot Cross Buns
    8 rashers smoked streaky bacon
    1 tbsp butter or oil
    1 tbsp maple syrup, to drizzle


    1. Beat the eggs together with a splash of milk in a shallow container. Have the hot cross buns and soak in the egg mix.

    2. Meanwhile, grill the streaky bacon rashers until crispy.

    3. Heat a non-stick frying pan with the butter or oil and fry the buns until golden on both sides. Top with the bacon and a drizzle of maple syrup.
