    Rosemary and Parmesan Twists

These are easy to make and have a wonderful Mediterranean flavour. They also make great nibbles for a drinks party.

    Makes: 20

    • 425g pack frozen ready-rolled puff pastry sheets, defrosted
    • 1 small egg, beaten
    • 2 tsp dried rosemary
    • 2 tbsp ready grated Parmigiano Reggiano Parmesan

    1. Preheat oven to 220°C, gas mark 7.
    2. Open out the pastry and brush one sheet with egg and sprinkle with rosemary and Parmesan. Cover with the other sheet of pastry, then roll out to a 38cm x 25cm rectangle.
    3. Place the longest edge nearest to you and cut about 20 strips vertically. Twist each one and place on a baking tray in the oven for 12-15 minutes or until crisp and golden.
    4. Allow to cool completely. Pack into a plastic box with scrunched-up kitchen towel on the top to protect them while you are in transit.
