White Chocolate Fondue with a Splash of Cointreau

The perfect end to a romantic meal - fresh fruit dipped in luxurious orange-scented white chocolate.

    • Vegetarian
    • Preparation time: 10 minutes
    • Cooking time: 5 minutes to 7 minutes
    • Total time: 15 minutes to 17 minutes 20 minutes

    Serves: 2

    • 100g Waitrose White Belgian Chocolate
    • 50ml double cream
    • Finely grated zest of 1 orange
    • 1 tbsp Cointreau
    • 225g pack strawberries, halved
    • 2 clementines, peeled and segmented

    1. Break the chocolate into small pieces and place in a medium-sized heatproof glass bowl. Sit the bowl over a pan of barely simmering water (do not allow the bottom of the bowl to touch the water).
    2. Allow the chocolate to melt gently for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until smooth. Remove from the heat.
    3. Stir in the cream, orange zest and Cointreau. Pour into a fondue pot or a warm bowl, and serve with the fruit. Keep warm.

    Cook's tips

Try not to over-stir the chocolate while it melts, as it may go lumpy.

Prepare the fruit in advance and keep covered until needed. You could also try dipping dates and marshmallows in the fondue.
