Wine of Greece.Xinomavro - RoséGreek Wine A modern style, dry rosémade from the classic Xinomavro grape from vineyards in northern Greece. Wine from the land of Alexander the Great Phaedra is a rose made from the Greek indigenous grape called Xinomavro, a damson coloured variety that has characterfully good acidity. The climate in mountaineous Macedonian northern Greece is surprisingly continental, so giving a uniquely cool, fresh tone to this rose. With its aromatic summer fruit nose and textured, well-flavoured palate, Phaedra rose has the balance and structure of a serious pink wine. Phaedra in Ancient Greek means bright and beautiful, and this wine is a shining example of the modern Greek style. Just perfect on its own or with any number of international dishes.
