- Serving instructions: These Peppered Mackerel fillets can be served cold straight from the can. To serve hot, remove the contents from the can and microwave in a suitable container for 1 to 2 minutes. Alternatively, heat in the can by immersing the unopened can in boiling water and simmer for 7 minutes.Warning: When opening a heated can, first place in cold water for 10 seconds, then cover with a cloth when lifting the ring pull tab.May be drained before use.
