Preparation & Storage
- Our delicious gluten-free penne tastes wonderful with any sauce but we love to use a rich tomato or Bolognese-based one. Alternatively why not make a great pasta bake? Toss some cooked penne in your favourite sauce and top with lashings of grated cheese before popping in the oven.
Allow approximately 100 - 150g pasta per person. Place the pasta into a large pan of salted boiling water. Bring to the boil and cook for 4-5 minutes. Refresh under cold running water for 5 seconds to remove any excess starch. Drain thoroughly and serve immediately on pre-heated plates or bowls.
This is fresh (chilled) food so keep in the fridge below 5 C and use by the date on the pack or within 48 hours of opening. You can home-freeze but best to do so on the day of purchase and use within 3 months. It's absolutely fine (and quick) to cook from frozen - just allow a further 1 minute cooking time, but please don't re-freeze.
