St Hallett GamekeepersReserve
The wine is ripe and juicy with real depth to the blackberry and raspberry fruit, supported by soft, juicy tannins. This great Barossa winery goes from strength to strength. Toby Barlow, fresh from his stunning successes at Mitchelton in Victoria ensures that St Hallett remains one of the most forward looking wineries in Australia. In the heart of the Barossa Valley lies St Hallett one of the country\u2019s premier wine producers. Established by the Lindner Family in 1944 St Hallett is renowned for crafting full-flavoured, textured wines entirely from Barossa Valley fruit. The Shiraz for this wine is primarily from cooler southern and central Barossa Valley, whilst the Grenache is sourced from low yielding west and north western areas where the vines truly struggle to survive to produce intensely flavoured crops. This is an unoaked wine that is fermented in stainless steel tanks with yeast strains which are especially selected to highlight the aromas contributed by the Grenache and use the richness and pepper spice of the Shiraz to build up structure.
