About our turkeys

All Waitrose turkeys come from British and Irish farms, and are reared by carefully chosen farmers who share our values and work to our standards on quality, food safety and animal welfare.

We know every farmer we work with, which means we can trace every bird back to the farm where it was reared. Put simply, the better we look after our birds, the tastier the meat they produce.

About our farmers

Waitrose farmer, Jonathan Martin, has supplied us with free range bronze-feathered turkeys for over 20 years and has all the ingredients for farming great tasting Christmas turkeys. He’s just one of our many carefully selected farmers who work hard to ensure all of our free range, bronze feathered birds are reared with care, attention and plenty of space to roam around.
